Which size carrot cat scratcher should I get?

Size M (11.4" tall) suits kittens and smaller spaces. Size L (17" tall) gives grown cats more room to stretch while they scratch.

Where should I put a scratching post?

Place it right next to the furniture your cat scratches, or close to where she sleeps. Cats often scratch after waking up.

How do I get my cat to use it?

Rub a little catnip on it, dangle a toy over the top and praise your cat when she scratches. Never force her paws onto the post.
